In the two months since MTV Networks and Harmonix released the music-based videogame "Rock Band," players have purchased and downloaded more than 2.5 million additional songs made available after the game's initial distribution.
Activision, meanwhile, said it has sold more than 5 million new songs via download for "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" since it began adding downloadable content in early November.

These games are exposing younger kids to music they probably would have never considered listening to. And the other way around as well. Before playing Rock Band I would have never considered buying music from Weezer or Radio Head. But because of these games I've learned I like some of the more "current" music.

So, if you're a fan of the classic rock group Boston (if you're not you SHOULD be) this is a great week for you. Rock Band is going to be offering a full Boston pack including...
More Than a Feeling (Master)
Peace of Mind (Master)
Smokin’ (Master)
Rock & Roll Band (Master)
Something About You (Master)
Hitch a Ride (Master)
I spent $35.00 on downloaded songs last weekend, looks like I'll have to convince the wife I need to spend more money this weekend.

Better than that I would pay $35 to see Queen Mother doing a mean Air Guitar.

I just wish I could get the replacement for the piece of junk guitar we bought in the bundle package. It's been months since I sent the information in for getting a replacement.

really? they got right on mine... took like 4 days for the box to get me... a week for the box to get back to them (cause they paid for ground on that shipment for whatever reason) then like 2 days to get it back to me
i would call EA/Harmonix support and find out 'whats the dilly yo'

I don't know what happened and yeah I just called them. They had all my information and it got overlooked somehow. When I filled out for a replacement I was just going to have them send an empty box..then send the defective guitar back then they'd ship me a new one. I wasn't giving them a credit card number.
Anyways, I explained to the lady that I just wanted a replacement asap because it's been 2 months...she said she was just going to send a guitar to me and said not to worry about sending the other one back. She said it should only take a couple days to recieve it.

So the first full album to be released for Rock Band will be Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance.
Pull the old spiked arm bands from the closet and get ready to do some heavy metal head banging.
