Barnhill's Closed

I drove by Barnhill's today and saw that it was closed and up for sale. That place was packed up everytime I drove by it, I was kind of shocked! :shrug:

My wife said the couple of times she ate there she didn't feel well afterwards.
Most buffet food is loaded with grease and oil which is probably why most got sick afterwards.

i just got done riding by there- the open neon sign was on but the reader board said "store closed"

I was kind of put out when Lucky Dogs closed but to be honest they never really tasted like the vendor wagons in the French Quarter.

I say, good riddins to bad rubbish. Barnhills was a disgrace to southern cooking! I'd like to see a lot less chain restaurants and some more original, unique food around here. Right now for exception of a few, HBG is a smorgasboard of chains eateries.

The only buffet I will eat at is Movie Star in Purvis. The others, like Barnhills, Ryans, etc., all seem to attract all the 450 lbs. Buffet Vultures.

It reminds me why we need a Buffet tax in Mississippi.

It is great, they have the best fried chicken. I heard back around Christmas that they were going to have to move or close in the near future. Who ever has the building that they lease from is going to do something else with it. I had heard it from someone that goes just about every weekend, and they live in Purvis. They also said that the Mississippi Sisters between Lumberton and Purvis is good also.

I saw the closed sign recently as well, and was kind of shocked. I wonder if the street renovation to Ross Blvd. had anything to do with it. I'm not a buffet person, but it was always a pain in the rear to get in and out of there, and with it being cut off to degree, I imagine it made it worse.
