I saw those on passenger ships

This is the type parafoils I built and yes, they were complicated sewing. These had lots of towing power and is the forerunner to all the power kites used to today for everything for sail surfing to towing large passanger liner ships to save fuel.

Kite history is some of the most interesting stuff out there.
