Don't they have to agree to be shocked in order to be able to carry a taser???
I think I heard that somewhere.

A buddy of mine is a POliceman up in North MS....He showed me his taser video....He's about 300lbs. of muscle and one of the toughest people I know....I watched that thing make him buckle and scream like a little girl....No thanks.

I think I heard that somewhere.Yes. You have to be certified to carry it and for certification, you have to take a class that last about a hour and watch a video. Then you get tased. Yes, it sux.

Bet that would upset your thought process if you were in the grips of a romantic interlude.

Not only do you have to be tazed if you carry a tazer, in order to carry pepper spray/mace and/or a "asp/PR24"you have to also get training and get sprayed as well as physically use the "asp/PR24" BEFORE you can carry the items. Although I don't think many officers use the PR24 anymore, they are just too cumbersome.

With the high probability of hurting someone and all the different type of non-lethal weapons available today, why would you want to carry the liability that goes with impact weapons? Personally, I still carry a ASP on my gun belt, but it's used to break cars windows and such. If my taser and pepper spray aren't working, I probably need to pull the Glock anyway.
