Good morning guys! It is 47 below zero up here this morning and we are still trying to dig our way out of the mess that the blizzard left for us yesterday...

Ok, now it's a heat wave of 43*F at the ranch and the Sun just came out. I just came in. I put 300# of cow feed out to shut them up, prolly put out a ton or so of hay later just to give them a couple of spots to run back and forth to.

I have been colder at 40*F in my life than I have at any other temp.

Its not as far off as it use to be MD. I just ate a big bowl of homemade vegetable beef and conebred and now I plan to snuggle up with dog in front of fool tube and take a winter nap. :-)

Guru, I have to agree with you on that wet cold.... When I get cold down south it takes me forever to get warm again! Up here, you just go back inside and it will be alright! It got down to 71 below zero yesterday, but has warmed up to 51 below today! Whooohooo! Heat Wave! I can't wait to get back home and thaw out! :eek:

Maggie-Doodle, I need to get us a heater for the pool! I miss swimming! I don't know if we will get to see the deer this year though, the #$@!*&^%$# poachers have been on my land again! I wish that I could hire me a sniper to keep watch during deer season! They have been shooting anything that moved and they even left a carcas out in the road with just the back strap cut out of it... Sorry suckers! :furious3:

Gimme a rifle and I will go up and watch the fields for you! You may find the carcass of a hunter in the road with only the back strap cut out! :) Stuff like that makes my blood boil! Sorry s.o.b.'s! I suppose they think that stuff is "manly!" When you get home, make sure you put up "posted/no tresspass" signs so you can file charges if'n you catch any of the murders!

ooooh, a pool heater would be fine! Could warm the early spring waters as well as the late fall... :)
