Sounds like some of the scientific meetings i used to attend. Lots of talk about little. Why is is business's role to "make the world a better place"? They do, but it is a by-product of good old capitalism, not the defining role. If i make a better product, cheaper; or bring the world a new drug, all benefit. I make money, they get well, or improve their quality of life. Remember years ago when the guy(can't remember the name) said there would be too many people in the world to feed them all. Mass starvation was going to ensue. Well, advances in farming techniques, seed, etc. proved that wrong. We are in a global economic situation, in that nations and their economies are inextricably intertwined. What we must do is not sacrifice the values of capitalism at the door of feel good, make the world a better place, I love you, you love me bs.

The average dumbarse on youtube will not provide the answers. Believe me. Thinkers and men of action are not watching or putting themselves on youtube. They are trying to come up with the next computer, more efficient motor, disease resistant crop, cancer cure, oil extraction or production method, etc. The world of gov, tariffs, trade barriers, etc. will either get the hell out of the way, or provide barriers to the above. These same people will always find away around the bs, or worse yet, quit creating, when there is no incentive to do so. Virtue of Selfishness:
