laptop backpacks

I saw or gandered at some laptop backpacks that were at Sam's Club this past Saturday. They are about 40 bucks...do any of you guys or gals have one of these? If so, are they convenient or do they protect your investment well?

I use one we got from Dell. I like it quite a bit. It at least feels more secure than if you were to sling a briefcase over your shoulder..It hasn't been bumped off by a passerby yet, and that happened often if I just carried it in a briefcase. It makes the trek across airports easier on your back and shoulders. Lots of padding. I wish it had more room. Its also much less geeky looking (imo) :D

I've got one made by SwissGear. It's awesome. I use it everyday. It's got a padded area for the laptop itself and tons of room for documentation, cables, cords, tools, etc. I think I got mine at Sam's as well.

I think it is a Swiss gear one I was lookin' at. It had the little army knife symbols on the zipper tags and stuff.

Yeah, that's the one I got, it's black. It's held up great so far. I've had mine since about August or September.

Did you look at the swiss gear ones before you bought the targus?...I couldn't find any reviews on the targus, just only the swiss ones.
