I'm not much on tournament fishing, but this years classic should be one to watch. It'll have more live coverage than any classic event ever.
Dates Feb.22-24, 2008 in Greenville South Carolina. They will fish the 56,000 acre Lake Hartwell. To the winner goes a check for 500k and no tellin' what else in endorsements. Be sure to watch it on ESPN!

Do they still do the tournament down on the coast? It was either Bassmasters or FLW that had one that they would start at Indian Point on the Pascagoula.

Yeah, they select Pasemgoula or Louisiana or Mobile at least once a year. It gets hard to keep up with all of the tournaments. I really don't keep up with the FLW tour unless it's a local or around these parts type of event.

BASS doesn't have anything out of the Coast. FLW did. BASS does the Atchafayla Basin tourney and the Red River Tourneys.

I got news for ya, Lake Hartwell is more like 10,000 acres rat now thanks to the 2007 drought. Nana and I camped there in November and its like a mud hole compared to its once self. The angles will damn sure have the cornered and may have to launch with helio-lift.

I remember hearing something about that now that you mention it. I think it was on ESPN or the Outdoor channel. It's 11 ft. below it's average elevation.
I don't know if that's alot for Hartwell though. I don't know that much about the lake, but their website (http://water.sas.usace.army.mil/home/indexDU.htm) is FULL of info...good lordy...it's got all kinds of stuff.
link is to the data pages for a couple of places.
