Now the franchise owner has absolutely NO excuse to not open one in Petal.

Doesn't Petal already have a sewage line problem?

I wonder why they are going to close it? That place stays busy all the time.

Building and drains are a dump. Don't know the real reason, though.

Darn, and I enjoy their Mexican Pizzas. I work on that end of town and usually go by there about once every two weeks and get one for lunch.
I really do wish they would open one in Petal -- it would be a GOLD MINE!!! But word is the lady who owns the franchise has vowed to never allow one to open in Petal as long as she's alive. I don't understand that, but she is really missing an opportunity to make some MAJOR BUCKS!!

I'm hoping they tear down and rebuild. It's the oldest Taco Bell in the region, and I know that the regional manager was ready to get rid of it and start over.

I used to go there a lot when I was supposed to be in Sunday School at Parkway Heights....explains a lot....
I credit a friend of mine for the invention of "medium" taco sauce because of an incident at this Taco Bell....They used to only have Hot and Mild sauce....Well, one night we had been drankin' a little bit and decided to visit the drive thru at TB.....My friend said "Gimme three hard tacos with a few packs of medium sauce...." "We don't have medium, would you like hot or mild sauce?" "NO G--dammit! I want medium....MEDIUM G-Dammit! MEDIUM!!!"
Still the only time I've seen a fast food manager ask someone to leave the drive thru.

I remember one time in 1991 as a bright-eyed freshman at USM, I was eating lunch there with some friends. Back then, the soft taco wrapper came with some cheesy "eating instructions" with pictures of someone "enjoying" a soft taco.
So like the sarcastic SOB I am, I started acting out the "instructions."
After about 5 minutes, the manager came out from the back and lost it on all of us. He was obviously having a "bad day."

I've never been to the one on the east side of town, but live way to close to the one out west. I am partial to the Pink Taco, which is so good.

Although we don't eat there often anymore I would like to see them remodel the place and stay open...it was always nice if you wanted a snack late at nite and didn't want to cook something yourself. It is especially nice since it is only about 4 blocks from my house.
The building seems to be in very bad shape...time for a remodel.

the sign at Taco Bell says it is closing for remodeling. Guess I am the only person who has been there and read it. Does not say how long it will be closed.

They're rebuilding. I figured it would happen sooner or later. You ever notice the wet spot on Hardy St in front of the building? When they installed the soft drink machines, they piped the drain into the front lawn and it dead ends there. What you're seeing is the ice and drink overflow from the machine. They should have to pay for the damage they have done to the roadbed there.

Is a Taco Bell anything like a Dingle Berry?

I don't know if I could have been that patient with the little hoodlum.
Incidently, last night we received a call wanting to know if we delivered. Of course the answer was no. The same person called back to place an order for stuff we don't have and we had to explain again that we don't deliver. The third call, they were upset that their food had not been delivered. The waitress was very polite but told them she had no idea where they had placed their order but it wasn't with us and suggested they lose our number and find whoever was supposed to be delivering their food. No calls after that. Pranksters or just idiots??

That one is nothing compared to today's call. This person called this afternoon wanting to reserve room at the bar. The employee told them we don't do reservations after 7:00, the caller said well it's not seven and I want to reserve room at the bar. The employee told the caller (woman) to call back at 5:00 so that someone could assist her. She said she couldn't call back, that she was a suicide bomber and she wanted her hamburger.
Weird!!
Of course, the caller ID showed private so we have no idea who is pulling this crap.:banghead:

If yall are talking about the one close to campus, I hope they get an entirely new staff when they reopen. Every time I went in there it was the most uncomfortable experience of my life, eventually I just stopped going, even though it's close by and I love that food. This is in sharp contrast to the Taco Bell out by Turtle creek mall, in which the staff is made of some of the friendliest, most customer-service oriented young people around.
