Anyone have an OEM Yamaha V-Star 1100 Exhaust system hidden in the garage? Possibly taken off because you wanted one of them fancy Vance&Hines or maybe a Cobra system?
anything from 2000-up to about 2006 will work, I'm willing to pay UP TO $27.85 and maybe throw in a good 6-pack of American beer, probably Pabst Blue Ribbon or similar.

Thanks, and if your clouded mind remembers tomorrow, I'd be much obliged. The cheapest I've found around is on the internets for about 80 American dollars, which I think is equal to 1.20 euro.

My bike has no pipes, which means no back pressure, causing my jets to run rich, meaning only about 100 miles on 4 gallons of fuel. I should be getting twice that. I know a guy in upstate NY who'll take your stock mufflers, modify them to sound great, and still add the needed back pressure, without needing to rejet the carbs. I know I need a big ass air kit, but being a poor state employee (instead of a wealthy oil man) I can only do so much at a time.
Guru, you have any advice?

I'd contact the Yamaha place in Hattiesburg or Laurel. Bypass the guys at the front desk, go in the back and talk to the mechanics.
Tell them you are looking for some ok pipes for your bike and you are interested in picking up some pipes left over from somebody that put on some specialty pipes to look and sound cool.
After the deal is done lets pull that baby into the ranch garage and do a little adjusting to those baffles.

Guru,
Took the bike down there (Hattiesburg Cycles) for a fuel problem, using to much to be exact. They recommended the yearly service package, oil/filter change, air filter change, new plugs, lube it up, all that crap. Picked it up late Saturday, rode it right home, as it was beginning to rain. Monday rolls around, State Holiday, and I decide to ride. Rode from Hardy/Westover area down I-59 just before Hwy 11, when I notice this God Awful noise, I exit pull over and discover that when they changed the oil/filter they rightfully removed the forward exhaust, but FORGOT to bolt the exhaust back to the manifold. They came and piked me up, fixed the problem...I'm only hoping that I don't have valve issues. All that to say, they decided to look in the used parts bin for me, and should let me know something tomorrow if they have something used. I'm starting to not trust them folks, as this is the second issue I've had with service there.
Off topic I know.

Hey, things are going to happen to you at ANY bike shop.
I was riding home from a primo service and maintenance once and just happened to look down to keep an eye on everything from time to time.
Oil covered the whole tranny section and back of my bike. The mechanic had failed to tighten all my cover bolts, all of them were sticking out slack for 1/8-1/4" and the exhaust nuts were rattling too.
Sat down on the side of Hwy 49 after emptying my tool bag and tightened it all up and went on home.
Sometimes it's easier on your heart and stomach to just say "uh-huh".
Of course the phone call back to them did make me feel a little better.
Good luck on the pipes, if they don't come up with good news don't forget to call Laurel.
I don't know anyone right off the bat with that particular bike but if you have no luck with either of them I will start some other recon.
