Post games and riddles of logic. Here's one to start you off....
Two captains are preparing to fight. Each only has three ships to fight with. One one side, each ship is ranked by skill from strongest to weakest. However, each ship has exactly the same amount of skill as their opposite in the other navy (for example, the weakest ships of both navy are equally skilled.)
Each ship can fight only one time.
Assuming there is no chance involved how does one captain assure he can win 2 of the three battles?

Have the larger ship with the most artillery rounds provide for the medium and weakest vessel in their own fleet. They will not be fighting but only providing, therefore the better armed medium and weaker skilled vessels should win but the strongest skilled vessel will loose due to diminished firepower.

Nope, sorry, that counts as fighting. But you're kinda on the right track.

Have the smallest ship fight the largest ship.
threekidspa
June 1st, 2008, 10:49 PM
yep! It'll lose, of course, but then you can match your middle ship against his smallest, and your largest against his middle, which will both win.

Three people check into a hotel. They pay £30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager suddenly remembers that the room rate is £25 and gives £5 to the bellboy to return to the people. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that £5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets £2 and gives £1 to each person. Now each person paid £10 and got back £1. So they paid £9 each, totalling £27. The bellboy has £2, totalling £29. Where is the missing £1?
optimistik1
June 3rd, 2008, 06:08 PM
Manager has $25
3 people have $1 each
thief of a bellboy has $2
$25 + $3 + $2 = $30
there isn't any money missing.

While a red mark was placed on the forehead of each of three blindfolded women seated facing each other in a circle, they were told that the the mark might be either red or white. Upon removal of the blindfolds, each was to raise her hand if she saw at least one red mark, and then to take it down if she could logically deduce the color of her own mark. All three hands were quickly raised, but then one of them lowered her hand. How did she know?

To answer, you kinda have to think from one of the other persons point of view. Everyone raises their hand, and I see two red dots, so mine can be red or white at this point. But since neither of them lower their hand, my dot must be red as well. If it were white, one of the others would have been able to immediatly deduce their own color was red.

Here's a variation of the Goat-Wolf-Cabbage problem:
Three missionaries and three cannibals wanted to get on the other side of a river. All 6 of them have to get across alive. There was a little boat on which only two of them can fit. There can never be on one side more cannibals than missionaries because of a possible tragedy. How do they cross?

1 cannibal and 1 missionary there, missionary back. 2 cannibals there, 1 cannibal back. 2 missionaries there, 1 missionary and 1 cannibal back. 2 missionaries there, 1 cannibal back. This one cannibal takes the remaining cannibals to the other side....Right?

Was I supposed to ask the next question? I'll make it real easy.....True or False.
If some Wocks are Slocks and some Slocks are Snocks, then some Wocks are definitely Snocks.
threekidspa
June 12th, 2008, 04:34 PM
False. It doesn't say all Wocks are slocks, so its possible to pick all of the Slocks that are Snocks so none of them are Wocks.

I think definition # 2 or 3 is the one we're look'n for here for wock:
Wock 3 thumbs up
Another meaning for cool. Often used when the other person in the conversation is not really listening, and doesn't really care, however they try to make it look like they are.
However it can be used enthusiastically and like you do mean you think the subject is cool!
Barry: I got in the england chess U16 team!
Nick: Wock
Now you guess which meaning this is
cool great fantastic wicked nice

3. wock 7 up, 10 down
To eat without chewing.
The bulimic chick wocked her meal, and vomited soon after.

And if this is the correct definition of Snock...then the answer should be False. I'm a lil concerned about the #2 definition here lol...
1. snock 14 up, 5 down
To hit forcefully in the head.
Joy was going to snock Mike into next week.
hit sock punch light-up smack

2. SNOCK 15 up, 14 down
A name for a serial poster of crap on internet forums.Usually bald and has very little knowledge of anything of any use.
I was reading a post and it had been posted by a right Snock, i.e. no value whatsoever and complete rubbish.
