dang...it was 40/40.....prolly gonna' be alot of popcorn showers comin' in off the gulf.

I hear ya...I'm not worried bout get'n wet...it's the rising water at night. We'll hafta watch it Sat. afternoon. That sand bar is close to water level from one end to the other. We might consider pitching tents up the hill. The only reason I say that is because we set up camp there once and it was late in the afternoon when we started. We hauled 2 boats down the hill first then hurried to pitch tents...get lanterns ready and build a fire. Bout an hour after it got dark I started hearin rushing water...I grabbed a light and when I stood up....my friend did too and we both took off down the hill. The water had risen and both boats were gone. All we had was my outboard but my gas tank was in my boat that washed away. I knew someone that had a mercury like mine and we drove out to his house and he loaned me his tank...and boat. We hauled butt back...drug the boat down the hill...threw on the mtr. and tank... threw in the battery and spotlight and fired it up. My friend stood up in front of the boat holding onto the rope in one hand and had the spotlight in the other....and I showered down on it. The tank was full so we figured bout of a third of it gone headin with the current means turn back. The creek had risen just enough so that snags weren't much of a worry and we were cruisin. I couldn't believe it...but 3 curves down...both boats were jammed into some brush against the bank. We tied them to us and pulled those lost babies back. I know...we should have tied them up...we were in a rush doin other stuff. But...I never cross that creek now without looking at it's level after a rain.

It'll just make it more fun if it rains, minus the whole thunder and lightening stuff. LOL

Oh yeah it's gonna be aight. We've all been talk'n bout out hot it is...tomorrow....we cool off...

It's been so dry and when we were at the Cameron hole it was a good 9 inches above creek level..................We should be fine.
