Next year, rigs with analog OnStar systems will no longer be able to use the system as the national cellular system goes digital. If your vehicle is an '02 or newer, you can buy an upgrade kit. Otherwise, you're SOL.

We used OnStar for about 3 years and I really enjoyed the voice command/hands free com, but boy do those folks put a screwing on ya when it comes to minutes bundles. They don't roll over or give you warning when the the anniversary or renewal date matures. We finally dropped the service 'cause it made my BP soar at least once a year.

I suppose that if the main problem is that you are going to have to upgrade your system, then a nissan wouldn't have that problem.
But if the main problem is that you will not have a functional On Star system, then you would still have this problem with a Nissan.... and with a Nissan the problem cannot be fixed.

Have OnStar, will not upgrade. In 3 years have used it 4 times; twice to unclock the car and twice just because it was there.

If they unlock the car how do they know it is not a burglar they are unlocking the car for? What do they require?

Ahh I see, well that sucks for the people who have onstar I bet that was a pretty penny. When I get locked out I just pull my window back.

I lock my truck from the outside with my FOB.....that keeps me from locking the keys in it.
