I saw this on the news this evening, and thought it was really sweet. The couple in their 90's have been married 74 years! And to celebrate their 75th anniversary, they took a trip down the isle, and renewed their vows. You just don't see that anymore.

Couple Renews Vows On 74th Anniversary
It's rare to find a love that withstands the test of time especially when you are talking about 74 years, but what makes the love story of Ethel and Elijah Baldwin exceptional is that they are making the trip down the aisle once again. In the halls of the Vicksburg Convalescent Home surrounded by family and friends, the 95 year old blushing bride and the 97 year old handsome groom exchanged vows.
It was a quarter century ago when Elijah was working on the roads in Natchez and laid eyes on Ethel. "I loved her the first time I saw her," said Elijah. That same passion has never wavered.
In their 74 years together they have endured the Great Depression, World War II, and the election of 12 U.S. presidents.
"We got together and we stayed together," said Ethel.
Their union has produced a large loving family of four children, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
"For them to be my grandparents to witness it. It means a lot for me. it exemplifies true love blessing from God," said granddaughter Charlotte Dixon.
"It shows through time you continue to love, up and down, you always renew, keep the relationship fresh and it never grows old," said grandson Toney Baldwin.
So what are the future plans for the happy couple? "Continue to still love one another, treat one another right," said Ethel. It's a love story that's far from over.
The Baldwin's love story greatly impacted the Vicksburg community. Everything from the wedding rings, to the decorations and cake were donated by local businesses. The couple is spending their honeymoon night at Ameristar courtesy of the hotel and casino.
