BILOXI --

The Biloxi Planning Commission waited until the Mississippi Gaming Commission turned down South Beach Casino this afternoon before voting 7-6 against collectively rezoning land in East Biloxi to waterfront.

Good?Bad?Do you care?

When Hummingbird and I go to the casino's it's to eat. It's been a looooong time since I've thrown away money in those places trying to win some...but I think the state needs the revenue. I remember right after Katrina...the casino's saying they would leave if they couldn't build on land. If I'm reading this right...land was supposed to be rezoned so that it would be considered beach front....giving casino's legal property to build and expand on. The gaming commission shot it down first though. Well...I guess the state has all the money it can handle from those casino's down there...don't need anymore. From the drawing of the proposed complex...it woulda been nice...and I'm sure Biloxi cringed when the gaming commission was finished ripping it apart.

I just wished that Gulfport Harbor Authority would allow Whitecap's to rebuild where they were.
