Apparently, there are some musicians in the house.
I played sax all the way through college, both alto and tenor.
I've also been known to participate in a little musical theatre or church choir gigs; I sing baritone / bass, unless the church needs a countertenor (I'm not thrilled about that, but what can you do?)
How about you?

I sing really loud and obnoxious karaoke when I'm piss drunk.....
other than that....I played the trumpet in beginner band in the sixth grade...."Louie, Louie" was the pinnacle of my trumpet career.....
wish I could play the guitar, but never took the time.....also wish I could play the piano....I got some good song lyrics I need to put music to.....

Played alto sax 4 years in high school...never took it up in college though I was urged to....
my brother could play 2 saxes at the same time...
my sister was in a dinner theater in P'ville doing "Steel Magnolias" that played for 5 nights and sold out every performance...I always wanted to do that! Do we have a dinner theater in Petal or the Burg???

I played flute in high school.
I've always wanted to play piano really good. I taught myself some basics and tried to take lessons but I wasn't good at going back to the beginning so I gave up on the lessons.

I played violin from 6th-9th grade, I regret dropping out, I was frustrated because I could not perform vibrato and I still cannot. I was young and stupid and could of had music influence my life. I regret not staying into it because I am big into Japanese music and love hearing alot of violin pieces and so desperately wishing I could play. I was hateful, and wanted to be star though. From 6-8th grade I was always 1st-4th chair , none of the pieces required a skill of playing beyond 4th finger or further down the board. I completely bombed after that year, hence the reason for dropping out. I practice the piano now, self-taught and not very good. I understand the music keys, but I am not to the point where I can fluently play, I have to read the notes then find the position. I dont have the "gift" yet. SoMissTv, if you really played sax, understanding the piano should not be to hard, all instruments are based off of the musical scale and so is the piano. The hardest part is making it become second nature, to the point that it is engrained in your fingers where they automatically respond the minute you see the note. My past teacher could play the piano beautifully and I use alot of youtube videos as inspiration when I hear how beautiful it sounds.

At least you know it! It is so funny on those shows like American Idol, when the person thinks they are the greatest, and they shouldn't even sing alone in the shower! I'm a little that way with the voice. I can hear a bad note and know it is sharp/flat, but can't quite hit it myself when i try to sing. I guess practice would help...

I keep having this vision to get all my old cronies together one more time, play an open air concert in downtown Mize one weekend before I kick off.
I think that would be a hoot.
I catch myself mentally marking songs that would be on the play list.
Things I've owned or own and really suck at:
Bass (I could kind of fake that if I listened well to everyone else)
Acoustic Guitar
Electric Piano / Organ
Things I can kind of do:
Filled in on drums a few times but who that has had a couple of beers hasn't
When I was hot on it I took two piano lessons and could fairly much play anything in the learner's book, the upside down left hand chords freaked me out
Things I could strut on:
Seemed pretty much anything with a reed in it
Vocally I'm a chameleon lizard.

A few pics:
My first guitar, got it when around 19 years old (Peavey Milestone), and my Peavey tube amps. A Delta Blues 210, and a Peavey Triumph 60. The lefty had to be custom made. They waited about 6 months until enough orders to justify tooling changes. Hartley actually called my house and told my mom it was coming! How is that for customer service?

My favorite guitar, a 50th anniversary USA Stratocaster, with preamp built in. Buttery smooth, or stinging bite with the flip of a switch! Scored it at a pawn shop for 1/2 value.

The strat on the wall along with 'Green Onion', a lefty Peavey Predator Plus. Made in Korea nos I snagged on Ebay:

My regret is that I have yet to learn to read musical notation. Very much play by ear. Not good in the long run. I need to learn to read the language. I know more theory than my wife, though, who reads music. Don't tell her to jam in a I-IV-V progression in E, though! Funny how most can do one or the other, but not often both.

This is my most favorite guitar I've ever owned.
I lost the pick guard and the bridge is kinda hair-lipped,but I still like it.

It's a Kay.Scored it from some home owners that I was wiring a house for in Bent Creek.
They were from Ohio and the lady bought it when she was about 22,at the time she sold it to me she was 62.I'm sure that guitar has a lot of history.
