The problem with the upcoming election for Senate between Ronnie Musgrove and Roger Wicker is that neither seems to have a real plan for specifically helping the Mississippi Delta.
In earlier visits to Greenville and the area, Wicker, a Republican, was never able to articulate solutions that addressed the real issues facing the Delta's economy and education.
Likewise, Musgrove, a Democrat, who doesn't sound much like one, didn't provide anything more Monday during a campaign stop in Greenville.
The former governor rests his campaign for U.S. Senate on two pillars of the Republican platform: fiscal responsibility and social conservatism.
