View Full Version : Exporters, financials lift Tokyo stocks

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Japanese shares advanced early Monday, with exporters such as Nintendo Co. and banks such as Mizuho Financial Group rising after U.S. stocks advanced Friday. The Nikkei 225 Average gained 0.7% to 13,429.58 and the Topix index added 1% to 1,311.54. South Korea's Kospi climbed 0.5% to 1,605.31 and New Zealand's NZX 50 index rose 0.5% to 3,271.60, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 gave up 0.4% to 4,950.50.
