Reckitt Benckiser profit up 12%

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Household products group Reckitt Benckiser said Monday that its half-year net profit rose 12% to 442 million pounds ($879 million) as sales rose 20% to 3.07 billion pounds. Comparable sales growth was 10%, driven by its Finish, Vanish, Dettol, Lysol and Airwick brands, the group said. Reckitt Benckiser added it on track to at achieve at least its previously announced net revenue growth target of 11% to 12% at constant exchange rates and net income growth of 11% at constant exchange rates.
