Fannie Mae later than usual in declaring dividend: report

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Fannie Mae is yet to declare a third-quarter dividend, even though it's past the point at which it usually does so, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday. The group said in May that it would likely cut the dividend by 29% to 25 cents, but in the last eight quarters it's officially declared its dividend by the 20th day of the quarter, the newspaper reported. While the apparent lateness doesn't necessarily mean the dividend will end up below 25 cents, such a cut may be unavoidable, the report added.
