View Full Version : U.S. retail gasoline prices fall to $3.96 a gallon

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Retail unleaded gasoline prices dipped to an average of $3.96 a gallon in the last day, down from $3.97 on Sunday, according to the Daily Fuel Gauge Report from AAA. A month ago, gasoline cost an average of $4.07 a gallon. A year ago, the price was $2.90 a gallon.

With the drop percentage wise with the barrel we should be back down to 3.55 now, but that may take some time.
IF, the hysterical speculation machine on Wall Street doesn't falsify summer driving demand which as we all know is wayyyyyyy down this year.

I filled up at $3.76 this morning. Never thought I'd be happy about that. :rolleyes:
