Well, my greens got a little buggy, but i have eaten the roots since they have been big enough. Had enough of the other by now.
The question is, pull them up, or till them under for mulch/fertilizer for summer planting?

Mine have gotten buggy too but I'm still eating them. That is a good question you ask about whether or not to plow them under or use in compost pile. I'm waiting for Flower Girl to give us a definitive answer on dat one.
Aphids were my only big problem this year. For next year, I've ordered an army of Lady Bugs.

I had a good stand, and started early. First saw grasshoppers was all, then green worms. Finally dusted w/ sevin about 1.5 weeks ago. Didn't know i would like the roots by themselves so much. Cooked down w/ butter, onion, salt, pepper. Made cornbread. At this twice in a week by itself! Talk about a cheap meal! Still beat the hell out of McDonalds!
