Lockheed Martin to buy privately-held Aculight Corp.

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. will buy privately-held Aculight Corp. based in Bothell, Wash., the defense contractor said Monday. Aculight uses laser-based technology to develop medical, aerospace and defense systems. The companies did not disclose the terms of the agreement. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
