Gold futures climb to close near $928

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- August gold closed at $927.70 an ounce in New York Monday, up 90 cents for the trading session. The metal found strength as prices for oil headed higher and the U.S. dollar traded lower against some major currencies.
