Crude futures close more than $1 higher

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- September crude closed at $124.73 per barrel Monday. Prices gained $1.47 for the session on renewed concerns about global oil supplies, but news of lower U.S. oil demand kept price gains in check.
