Packers president flies here to meet with Favre

The Green Bay Packers sent team president and CEO Mark Murphy on a private plane to visit Brett Favre in Mississippi Tuesday night in an attempt to persuade the quarterback to stay home rather than report to training camp this week.
A source told the Press-Gazette that Murphy was scheduled to arrive in Hattiesburg around 11:45 p.m., then meet this morning with Favre and his agent, Bus Cook, at Cook’s law office in Hattiesburg.
“They’re asking him not to come up there,” the source said. “They don’t want him up there.”
