Southern Miss announced today that former USM quarterback Reggie Collier's No. 10 jersey will be retired this fall during the Oct. 11 Boise State game at M.M. Roberts Stadium.

Collier lettered at USM from 1979 to 1982 and earned a charter membership in the school's Legend Club, which recognizes a group of Southern Miss athletes who have excelled in different sports and eras.

Collier joined the school full-time in its athletic department in 2004 as the Coordinator of Athletic Development and Community Relations.

The only two other USM football player to have jersey numbers retired are quarterback Brett Favre (No. 4) and punter Ray Guy (No. 44).
