First-responders in Harrison County have honored 16-year-old Kaysee Seymour of Long Beach for courageous action in an emergency situation.She's credited with saving a man's life by applying a tourniquet when she stopped at the scene of a motorcycle accident. The victim's arm was severed. First-responders said her act helped keep him from bleeding to death until paramedics arrived and continued lifesaving measures.
Sheriff Melvin Brisolara presented her a plaque today in an awards luncheon sponsored by his agency, American Medical Response and Vrazel's restaurant.
