The largest crowd to ever attend a Southern Miss FanFare filled the Payne Center Saturday night with high hopes for the fast-approaching 2008-09 athletic season.
Approximately 900 people paid to attend the event which featured speeches from baseball coach Corky Palmer, women's basketball coach Joye-Lee McNelis, head football coach Larry Fedora and athletic director Richard Giannini.
"It's great to see this many people excited about football," Fedora said. "I'm tired of talking about what we're going to do. It's time to do it."
