JACKSON – Ballet Magnificat!’s Alpha Company of Jackson has been invited to represent the United States at an international competition in Colombia.

It's a little fluff for most of us but after attending the International Ballet Tour in Jackson for the first time back in the 80's I have to say it was something else to see, especially in Mississippi. People from all over the world.
I managed to make about an hour the first time, 30 minutes the next and about the same on another visit but it was worth it just to see it happening here.
btw, the International Ballet Tour comes to 4 cities in the whole world, one of them being Jackson, Ms.
Every 4th year it comes to Jackson.

Ballet is amazing when done well and we are lucky to have such a group in Jackson.

True. My oldest daughter did a summer program at Virginia School of the Arts. It is amazing what they can do. I'm not for men in tights, but those guys were certainly athletic with the leaps and such. Pretty impressive. The preparation, training, and dedication required is substantial. Classical ballet is truly an art.

My daughters dig dance, ballet, etc. However, I'd crap if I knew they were going to Colombia.
