This is gonna sound stupid but the reason I started working out is for my upcoming cosplay. Its my fantasy escape from the real world and my way of not being a turd to everybody. As such, I enjoy mimicking characters I take a fond liking to.

Unfortunately anime characters are drawn with perfect bodies, but we can't let genetics stop us can we. ;) I will be doing Grimmjow and to me part of being a good cosplayer is doing the best you can to look like him.

I used a "spartan" workout I found, 30 minutes a day run/jog, water, chicken, meat etc. After running so much and many unpleasant throw ups lol, my legs almost doubled in size. I encoporated the "ghetto" workout. Their is a german workout that claims if you do pushups everyday you will increase at a dramatic rate. Which it seemed to work, I used to do 6 x 4 pushups a day now I am up to 20 x 4 pushups a day.

I think I made good gains, according to what I was told by professionals, at my body weight I could only lose .5 lbs a week, I lost almost 10 lbs and gained around 4lbs of muscle , which I was told the body could only gain 1-2 lbs of muscle a month which seems about right.

haha lol, yeah I think the hormones might of passed me up when I was waiting in line. -.- I think thats the main reason why I am having a hard time packing on mass, because I have low testosterone levels.

Well, your level must be on the rise, because testosterone contributes to break outs, even in women. Ain't nothing wrong with being a late bloomer! You'll come in to your own soon enough. ;)

Isn't one supposed to increase their protein intake if they want to beef up???

Yeah I drink a 100% whey protein shake everytime that tastes horrible. But I also cut out alot of really bad foods which also cut it back, plus I guess when you run etc your stomach draws up because I had eggs/biscuts/gravy/bacon one morning before doing it and it wasn't pretty. TMI I know ;)

Don't ever eat a heavy meal before working out. However, I've heard, and have absolutely no idea whether or not it's true, that carbs will amp up your energy during a workout.

Yeah thats definately true I believe, carbs and all that stuff , I also notice a difference with certain foods making me more active so I believe that.

Dude, come hike with me, you'll lose body fat and gain big leg muscles and ab's. But then, your arms don't get too much of a workout and you'll end up looking like a t-rex.

You just have a high metabolism bro. And being built lean and mean your body is like a nuclear power plant.
With those gains you are doing very good.
Running, push ups, chin ups, curls, dumb bell presses...
You can't go wrong there.
Keep pumping in the water if you keep packing in the protein, protect your kidneys.
