My sister is looking at an itouch. Does anyone have one of these?

My brother has an iphone and he LOVES it! It seems the itouch has the same look and does the same as an iphone, minus the calling functions. I'd love an iphone but Altel doesn't support them.

What's the concensus on the itouch? They are $299 for 8GB and $399 for 16GB and you can get them at Walmart & Target as well as from Mac.

I haven't monkeyed with either, though, they do look nice.

the question you ask is...do you want your mp3 player and phone to be one device or drag around two devices

Sorry I cannot stand touch screens, no matter on what or touchpads. I always make everything filthy and greasy. I do not see what it so amazing about touch screen, I would rather press buttons and not have a slimey screen that needs cleaning everyday.

That's why I combined my Palm Tungsten E2 and phone into the Palm Treo 650 - because I got tired of carrying 2 devices. Now I have most of what the Iphone has - just not as pretty and fancy. I love carrying one device and having access to email, internet, phone, calendar, etc. My contract is almost up though and I'd like something new and fancy.

having something that does a number of functions is not the same as having something that does a number of functions and you dont have to fight with it to figure out how to do it
