they have emergency dental care...usually under the dentist number...they will probably give you a shot for the pain, and then antibiotics if you have infection...I have dentures now, so I can't help much...sorry CSG...hope you find something!

CSG--you need to go to the dentist. If it's abscessed, and you don't have it looked at, well, to put it bluntly, it could kill you. Does , I think it's NAN Family care now instead of Urgent care, still have a dentist?

Take a glass of whiskey and a glass of water drink the whiskey and wash that glass out with the water, and repeat as needed.

Oh CSG I hate toothaches too! If you can't get to a dentist tonight....take something that will knock you out, sleepy medicine....then go to a dentist in the morning. I use Charles Greer and he's really good at squeezing you in in this type of situation. Hope your feeling better soon!

Hattiesburg Family Dental will take emergencies as well. I noticed that when I looked up Urgent care, and they are out your way.

That boy just doesn't get it, Anderlee! You did say repeat as needed!

Seriously, don't let it go. They used to call that area the "triangle of death" before antibiotics. (I guess nose, whatever. I'm a sewer worker.)

Anyway, if the infection is bad enough, they won't even be able to treat you until they get it under control. Get to the dentist pronto. Don't screw around. Take it from someone who had a sinus infection and ended up having brain surgery when it migrated to my frontal lobe! I would not wish that experience on the Devil. If I scare you, then good!

Get treated, brother.

i'm going to call around and see how much it is to go see one of dese teef workers-

a little cap of rubbing alcohol has pretty much subdued the hurt-

Get yourself to the dentist............you will probably have to take antibiotics to get rid of the infection before they can do much...........the faster to get to the dentist, the sooner you can get it fixed.........it's not going to go away.............and for some reason, they always hurt worse at night, don't know if it's because you are laying down or maybe your teeth grind together or what, but they do.........

I had a really bad tooth, it hurt, hot, cold, sweet, etc. I had my bite adjusted and my molar is good to go. Doc said it is like a bruise, if you keep hitting it, it will stay sore. Check with a dentist before you have invasive procedures.

Tie a sting to the tooth, and then to a doorknob and slam the door shut. Really, I saw it on tv, these three guys did it and it worked, kinda. Their names were Larry, Curly, and Moe.

And her name was Ms. Gatewood. She literally did that to me, and boy how I cried, I don't think I lost another tooth after that till sixth grade.

If you do not get it fixed even if it feels better, it can lead to other health issues. Mainly the heart. If you have high blood pressure, you really need to have it looked at. Dr. Dixon, the older one, out by the YMCA was good to me on a short notice one time. You REALLLLLY need to have it looked at. Who will we buy a new truck from when we need one? (Hopefuly not for a very very very long time!!!!)

If it quit hurting, you KNOW he didn't go to the dentist. I think once the infection reaches a certain point, it's killed the nerve endings and the pain stops. Then infection rages unchecked until . . .

(I made that up, but don't tell him, ok. He'll find out it's still abcessed before long.)

optimistik1

Well...if he DIDN'T go to the dentist....he better not come back in here fussing about it hurting again!!!! http://msp210.photobucket.com/albums/bb59/aingaelsmileys/toothache.jpg

He said the Clove oil stopped the pain and I told him about spray Chloroseptic.
I have MamaSan spitting out remedies in the background so he ought to be relatively feeling no pain until he goes to the dentist. Gave him a couple of names since it's hard to get a walk-in appointment sometimes.

NOW GO!!!

*hehehe*

ok, so i got the problem figured out- cuz i can fix anything

so, this tooth in the back of my head has a cavity. gawd i've never had a cavity that felt like this, but then again who knows. the first/last time that i've ever been to a dentist was because i had a wisdom tooth breakin thru and all sorts of crap, and he gave me a shot, yanked it out, we went home and i threw up for 4 hours. so yea-

anywho- i rinsed out with salt water, and it's feeling much better. i think after 5 or 6 miller lites it will be all gone-

BTW i called those 2 places guru and they were all booked up today-

there is 2 places i'm going to try i guess tomorrow- one behind petro and then becca's soccer coach was a dentist that just started out, so i guess i'll try to call the 2 of them-

Guru

You are going to find it extremely difficult to call up and get a walk-in. There are emergency care dentists in Hattiesburg but I don't know where to send you.

I am not joking with you CSG...I have a niece in Forrest General right now because of an abcessed tooth she wouldn't take care of till it was really bad. She had complications with it and now they are checking her for meningitis...I had no idea infections could spread like that but that's one test they're gonna do.She got bad off man...don't play around with it...

What's the deal? It ain't like they will put you to sleep and perform weird experiments on you or have sex with you while you are knocked out. Well, some places may but when you think of it, what's the percentages of it happening. Well, who cares? You will be asleep anyway.

They only people I know you can go in there not hurting and leave with a numbed mouth only to pay for the pain later after the office is closed.
I had a root canal yesterday, not only expensive but very painful.

I had lortab for my root canal years ago. I like me some lortab. It was my best friend for 4 days. I can see how some folks get hooked on that stuff. Bills to pay, flat tire on the truck, no food in the kitchen, wife mad at ya; does not matter. Pop one of those and all your troubles go away and replaced with rainbows, puppy dogs and birds singing. At least for a few hours.
