Headed out the door for a few minutes but I'm having a little computer viewing problem that started about a week and ago and has again manifested itself this morning.

Every few days starting about a week ago suddenly my monitor would grow dim down to a point but never black out. Then it would come back on.

This morning it has done the dimming thing again and a few moments ago it went pitch black for about a minute, then it came back.

A lot of things are racing through my mind:
1- Monitor going out?
2- Some kind of video card thing?
3- I can't imagine it but a heating problem? I doubted this one since the unit itself kept going.

Your thoughts?

I dunno, but I've got a couple of monitors at the house that you could have if you want one.

Thanks SM. I'm not sure that is what it is but if it is I do have an extra monitor here but if I can say it is a monitor I'm going down to Best-Buy this afternoon/evening and pick up a new shizizzle one.

Guru, get you a really WIDE monitor - we got one at Burton's for around $700, I think, but you can look at a bunch of screens at once. Goob has seen ours - we love it!

Try swapping the monitor with a spare. If it keeps doing it, it's probably your video card. Just my opinion.

First thing comes to mind is to check location of situation...
Bachelor Road, MacTara... Not sure where that is but more questions need answers...
The Bachelor Road? Does this indicate you are a single man?
I am assuming it is... I think I have the solution to fixing your problem...
What you are experiencing

is a clear case of not enough sleep too much partying and possibly the massive consumption of adult type beverages...
When things go dim on the screen if you were concious ewnough to notice everything else was dimming too... You were nodding off...
Solution:
Lay off all the booze
No more partying until you are fully rested
and go to bed and get some zzz's you are tired man...

Oh and your welcome:cool:

No, Fishbait, everyone doesn't tell you to get a Mac. They're telling you to get BACK! I.e., get back, stop drinkin' my Crown, get your own beer, quit fartin', etc, etc......
