No, I'm glad you asked -- I'd like to know too. Maybe nobody on here uses one. I'd also like to know if anybody uses a sound machine.

One of those machines that makes "white noise" to block outside sounds. Like the sound of people carrying on outside after midnight, say.

Air Purifiers do they work? if so whats a good one?I've tried several of those table top size air cleaners and found that they aren't big enough to have any significant effect. They will remove a little bit of stuff but not enough to be worth the bother.
And - they are the very dickens to clean.
Using a better grade of filter in the AC/Heat will do a better job than any of the table top units.

I've never had one of the large room size units so I can't offer any insight on those.

Also make sure there are no leaks in the clothes dryer exhaust/vent system. A leak in the exhaust will blow the whole house full of 'stuff' and you won't have a clue where it's coming from.

My Mother uses one of those air purifiers, she swears by it.
They got me one, I have never used it.

A guy I used to know had a noise machine, he loved it. Made all kinds of noises he said. Mostly he kept it on either slight wind breeze or ocean. He said. His wife said she could put up with it. I think she kind of liked it too.

I suspect they wouldn't be effective with the usual noisy neighbor whooping and hollering and Bump Thump loud 'music' din and racket.

You can generate 'white noise' by tuning in to a blank TV or radio station and turn the volume way up.

Hmmmm never heard of noise machines...I don't think I want one of those. I saw a scary movie about that...white noise....I have an xxxx-small air purifier that plugs into the wall...I got two for 20.00 @ waLMART. Many years ago. It does squat for the air, but it make a good little noise drownder...except for my great pyrenees dogs who love to bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark. :smash:
