wooo, best stock protection breed there is from chickens to sheep. I've always admired the breed but never had enough stock to warrant owning one. Prolly make great protection dog for young children as well. Great dogs!

As much as we want to hug and kiss the puppies LOL we do not so that they will be attached to the critters and not us humans LOL still Fred and Millie are the sweetest and easiest dogs I have ever come across.
I have heard that they will protect you with their life if provoked...Anyways we do not have any more fox problems.

ooooh here is a great LINK (http://www.milkandhoneyfarm.com/dogs/training.html)to learn more about the Pyr. Also if you didn't already know the dew claws on Pyrs have double dew claws on the rear paws and single ones on the front. Thats how to tell if you are getting a full blooded Pyrs or not.
Badger marked Pyrs are more common than any other kind. As the pyr gets to about a year old, white shield hairs will grow making most of the coat look white except for the muzzle and ears. Spots on the body will appear to be faded out or creamy in color.
The AKC recognizes several different colorings including white, badger-marked, tan, red and gray.
