This is a continuing story, lets keep the story on target and remember Clark and his Dad are characters...we need more but not more than 8 in total ...have fun.

I'll start by setting the mood and tone.
-------------------
Clark put the 9mm pistol on the seat of his 1956 Ford Mustang as his hands felt the coolness of the leather, his thoughts began flowing back to the day..his Dad passed it down to him.

But Dad I can't, this is your... shhhh son, I want you to have her. But Dad? your pride and joy? Son you are my pride and joy, you had a 4.0 all the way through high school and you never missed a day of school. You deserver her, besides nothing compares to you.

Clark? Yell Dad? Take good care of her. Clark felt his heart sinking, wonder how proud Dad will be now?

Clark's mom walked into the room. She had noticed that Clark had been a little down lately, but not wanting to be overbearing, had decided that he would tell her if he needed to.

She went about her housework, wondering if it would ever end. She found that housework was the only way to keep her mind occupied these days.

A million thoughts raced through her mind. Was it about Clark? Could it be about Sam? Maybe someone finally heard something. With a mingled sense of fear and excitement, she opened the door.

Sheriff Andy was right behind Guru rushing inside like it was a fire or someting...Howdy Mrs Smith! Heard anything from Sam? Mom said...No...Andy nothing...so what brings you all the way out here on a Saturday night?

Sheriff Andy turned and looked at Guru and said that floozy on your arm is under arrest...just then Clark walked in and said Sherry?

Suddenly Guru and the others ran off. It was just Sheriff Andy and Clark now. Clark looked around with a glazed look, he leered through Sheriff Andy almost as if he thought Sheriff Andy knew what was about to happen. Smash.... Clark had hit Sheriff Andy over the head with a lamp. Suddenly a grin started to come upon Clark's face. He had a melancholy appeal to him; He had done this manys before and each and everytime seemed to put him in a state of higher euphoria from getting away with it. Why then was he sad? These mixed emotions would continue to play a vital role in the story of our character Clark.

He looked around... Maybe it was from paranoia... Maybe he believed someone was watching him. This had become the norm for Clark, Everytime a higher official would come to his house he would deal with them. Clark had something he was hiding in his past. He would try his hardest to repress what he had done, so much to the point he could no longer deal with it and would regress to the moment of when it happened. The nostalgic feeling that Clark had felt was beginning to fade, now fear set in. What if someone where to walk in at this very minute?

He dragged the Sheriff's body out back, It was a fenced in yard. Noone would see him, noone would know what he was about to do. Not unless that nosey neighbor who occasionaly would come across with an angst to want to peer his beady little eyes over the fence. Clark erased this thought from his head, there was no room for doubt, no room for worry, only dilegence in accomplishing what he had to do. He pulled the newly aquired 1956 Mustang in the back yard, how beautiful it was. The shine on the car almost let out a heavenly glare as if to peer into Clarks soul and vanquish the darkness that was consuming him.

He stuffed Andy's body into the trunk, Clark began to become angry. Even though the body remained lifeless now he was angry with it. Why did this body have to be so heavy? Why did Andy have to come around now? Why couldn't he have left things alone? So many questions filled Andy's head that soon these questions became abstact, as if maybe God was asking them in a rhetorical tone. "Andy why", "Andy why" ...... "SHUTUP" .... Andy screamed. Why now, why of all times do I have to deal with this.

Ernestine peered from behind the trunk of a tree as she watched her neighbor, Clark, stuff the near lifeless Andy into the trunk. Never one to be without her cell phone, she pulled it from the pocket of her oversized old blue housecoat making sure not to make a sound. Her hands shaking, she punched in the numbers...........

"Harvey's Deli Deluxe, can I help you?", the voice came over the phone. "Harvey, It's me Ernestine!"

"Hey honey, what's the matter"

"Harvey, you're not going to believe this! I just witnessed a murder!"

"Ernestine, hon, you've been reading too many mystery novels again...now go watch some television. And put on something besides CSI or Cold Case Files, and I'll be home after awhile"

Click. The phone went dead.

She is going to prove she saw Clark loading a body into the trunk no matter how...even if it meant...

putting herself in the spotlight, something she detested since she was a little girl and her Momma paid the teacher at the school $200.00 to ensure she got the lead in the school play. She cringes to this day remembering how she froze up on that stage. She wasn't able to utter a word when she peered out into the darkness and saw the faces staring back at her in expectation. She could never live up to anyone's expectations of her. And failing was something she expected of herself. But this was much to important...she had to succeed at this.

Finding herself nose to nose with the rear tire of the Mustang, she hesitantly looked around for any sign of movement. She was startled to hear a soft moaning sound coming from the trunk of the car!

Suddenly Ernestine hollers at her Mama "Mama! Why is Uncle Guru in the trunk of this car wrestling around with that floozy from the Mahogany Bar? I mean, they don't look like they are fighting really but they sure are wrestling pretty fast. He has red stuff smeared all over his face too but it doesn't look like blood."
