I know that Flowergirl's son got a deer, and CircusRide's daughter bagged a good one,but has anybody else heard of any deer being taken in the area.
I'd like to know what kind of deer are being bagged around here.

We ain't got crap yet. I'm the only one who has seen any deer at our place, and that was opening week, two yearlings and a spike. Nothing else has even been seen except turkeys (come on March!). However, we've been mainly morning hunting, and the deer are mostly moving in the evenings now. So, we've been stupid, but that's about to change.

Well I was not proud of what I did but last year I hit a squirrel with my car while in prentiss. I thought that was the weirdest way for a squirrel to die, I pulled a hit and run.

Squirrels are crazy. They make it all the way across the road and then they turn around and go back. That's when they get hit.

I saw a ton of deer this weekend, but the camp/club I was at is a trophy club and you can't cap nuttin' under 8-point.....my wife's uncle did tell me to kill hogs of any size, age, or religious preference as they have been eating up all the deer food....I saw three or four of them, but it was after dark, and I don't trust myself with a firearm enough to shoot at shadows....

A guy that works here got one last week. It would've been a 10, but it had one tine broke off. The spread was 16" inside. The rack was pretty impressive. It surpassed the one my cousin' got last year in mass/length. He told me the deer weighed 150lbs. and that it had one of it's ears split in half. His neck was all bloodied from fightin' and so was it's butt from where somethin' prolly larger had gouged him. The deer came to a grunt call at 9:00 a.m.. He hunt's not to far out of Collin's.......
