Ordinance proposed to ban all pit bulls

RIDGELAND - A vote to ban pit bulls and other dangerous dogs was delayed Tuesday, but city officials expect to revisit the issue in the near future.
At a Monday night work session, City Attorney James Gabriel presented an amendment to the animal control ordinance that would effectively ban the dogs and give residents 30 days to remove pit bulls, rottweilers and other breeds from their homes.
